A Tree Lighting for the History Books!
Now THAT'S How You Do the Holidays! This year's Annual Village Tree Lighting & Toy Drive was taken up a notch thanks to an appearance from Santa Claus who arrived on a horse-drawn carriage courtesy of Sentineal Carriages. How cool was that?!
Live festive music courtesy of husband-and-wife duo, Love Construction, topped things off beautifully. The Social Committee would like to say a special thanks to homeowners John and Jean Roynon who gave us access to their beautiful porch for the music. It was a setup worthy of being on a Shaw stage!
Of course it wouldn’t be a tree lighting without lights, so thank you to Dale des Islets and his team for all their hard work in setting up the brilliant display, and thank you in advance for the unglamourous job of taking it all down in the new year.
A big thank you, of course, also goes out to all of you who participated in the fun and brought food for the potluck (what a spread!) and a donation to the toy drive. In fact, the toy drive was so successful, it took three cars to haul the donations to NOTL Hydro.
